We are excited to announce a major milestone in our journey toward scalable, durable climate solutions. Exomad Green—the world’s largest biochar producer and leading supplier of carbon dioxide removals by volume—has expanded its partnership with Supercritical through a multi-year agreement for 130,000 tonnes of biochar carbon removal (BCR).
This new agreement builds on the successful collaboration initiated in 2024 and secures all of our remaining 2025 BCR spot market credits. It underscores the growing trust in biochar as a reliable, high-integrity carbon removal solution, and highlights the importance of early procurement as global demand accelerates.
The partnership with Supercritical reflects the increasing momentum behind structured, long-term offtake agreements—an essential strategy for organizations serious about reaching their 2030 net-zero commitments. As the market matures, securing durable carbon credits from trusted producers like Exomad Green is becoming more competitive.
The growth of the biochar market is undeniable. In 2024, biochar accounted for a remarkable 86% of all global durable CDR deliveries. Offtake agreements have already locked in 62% of available supply for 2025 and 30% for 2026. Since 2020, biochar prices have risen at an annual rate of 29.2%, demonstrating both the strength of demand and the increasing recognition of its value in climate mitigation.
To meet this demand, we are significantly scaling production—from 86,000 tonnes in 2024 to an expected 210,000 tonnes in 2025. This expansion strengthens our capacity to deliver large-scale, verifiable climate impact while supporting land restoration and social inclusion through our operations in Bolivia.
